I had a $70 voucher for ABODE Restaurant so I decided to go on a Saturday night. Located on Robson Street in the heart of downtown, parking was expensive as expected. The restaurant itself is very roomy and modern.
Chicken Noodle Soup ($7)
Doesn’t it look delicious? I never got to try it, but E’s dad gave two thumbs up for his approval. It definitely looked very appetizing with ample amount of chicken.
Seafood Pasta ($18)
I decided to go for the seafood pasta which was a very fulfilling dish. The al dente spaghetti was topped with an abundance of seafood, including North Pacific Grey Cod, salmon, and prawns. The white wine pesto sauce was very creamy and devine, with just the right amount of heaviness to it.
BC Cod + Chips ($16)
This came with two breaded pieces of North Pacific Grey Cod with creamy slaw, house made tartar, and potato salad. What a perfect combination! I was told that the breaded BC cod was very crispy to consume.
Flank and Frites ($18)
The marinated 8 oz flank steak was a little overcooked for a medium rare. It was slightly burnt on the outer surface and a bit too drying. However, I did enjoy the house cut Kennebec fries which had a nice golden colour and a crispy finish to them.
I thought the dish I ordered was fantastic and would love to give their brunch menu a try to see how comparable it is to other places whenever I am in the area.
